ABOUT ME

I’m a Graphic Designer & Illustrator currently working at H-E-B in San Antonio, Texas.
I was adopted from China when I was one and grew up in Denton, Texas (north of the Metroplex). Growing up, I enjoyed drawing, but wondered how I could make a living with my art (without starving). Although I thought I would head to the big city for college, I got a small scholarship that encouraged me to head west to Texas Tech in Lubbock where I learned about a major called graphic design. I received my BFA in Communication Design in 2016, and learned how I could combine my love of art with the business world. Today, I am happiest when I get to share my craft of drawing (analog or digital) in my work. I believe breakfast is the most important meal of the day and from there, all you need is a to-do list. In my day to day, I am committed to “walk the walk” and lead by example.
In my personal time, I might be found stress-baking or busying myself planning my next big trip (right now it’s Japan). I love good stories — whether in a movie, audiobook or podcast, so I will eagerly talk about my favorite show I’m currently binging.
